Christmas 2010 & more......

About 5 days before Christmas, my phone rang out of the blue...Now, it's not really customary for me to pick up the home phone before listening to a voice on the answering machine, but I was anticipating our adoption agency calling... On the other line, "Hello granddaughter". I was like....is this grandmama (in my head)? Why, yes it was....She was calling to see if they could come up to our house and us to out to eat and celebrate their anniversary on December 23rd....I was thrilled. Of course! You see, my grandmama rarely gets out of the house, and when I say rarely, I truly mean it. They came on up and we went to dinner. After dinner, we played

It was so much fun....This game is great and easy and even almost 80 year olds can play it. (wink wink). After playing a couple of games in which my grandmother won both...we called it a night. I was so thankful for that night. Here's a couple of pics of the two of them. The thing about my grandparents is that they truly love each other...I mean after 59 years, they still love each other...How rare is that special love?

Happy 59th Anniversary!

Then, the next day was Christmas Eve! It was refreshing to regroup and remember what the season is about. I mean I know in my head and every year I tell myself I'm not going to wear myself out, but I do it all over...Is that crazy?
As we enter the lobby, there are these two beautiful nativities...each out of different materials...Absolutely beautiful..

Christ Is Come!!

It was good to pause and reflect on God's love for me and for you...To praise and worship....something really refreshing goes on on the inside when we worship.....This is one service where the kids sit in the sanctuary with mom and dad. They also partook in the Lord's Supper as well. I really enjoyed worshipping together as a family.

Here's a pic of the kids in front of the indoor baptismal....

Then, it was Christmas morning! Happy Birthday Jesus! Spencer and Natalie read the Luke's account of the birth of Jesus...Then, it was present time.....

I know Natalie's eyes look a little scary here, but she got, "Just Dance" for the Wii. We all had so much fun getting our grove on. (and I'm so thankful there's no pictures of me....)

We played new games and then it was time for Grandad, Dad, and Mom to come over. We ate a yummy meal.....Then, time for more presents. This was the kids big present from their Gramma and Grandaddy. It was a 4 in 1 game table. We had pool and air hockey tournaments.

These were two of my favorite presents:

Some new worship music to jam out to in this new year.

My new online friend Kelly is adopting and their family is selling these shirts as a fundraiser. I LOVE them! I already wore my hoodie yesterday. You can go here to order one.:)

I hope that you and your family had a very Merry Christmas!
With  Much Love,
