Natalie and I put this together on Sunday night.....Do you think Justus will like it? What will he think when he sees all those trains? I had no idea we had that many.....We bought this train table when Spencer was three so needless so say, it's been about 9 years. I always hung onto it b/c Spencer used the table and set up battle scenes with army men and so much more. I gave the top a fresh coat of paint a few months ago, and VOILA!! Good as new (well, almost). I can just see "Justus" little face lighting up when he walks into his bedroom for the first time......
When we were in Ethiopia, someone had donated one of those Leap Frog Draw and Write things to Hannah's Hope (our agency's transition home)....Justus LOVED that thing and carried it around everywhere. Trevis and I said, "man, we're going to have to find something like that for the plane ride home.". Toys R Us didn't let us down. I wasn't even really looking and then BAM I got an email that the Leapster 2s were 50% off. I'm thinking 25 bucks....I'm there. Only I went and all they had were the purple ones for girls....not gonna work for my boy. My mom, who is always up for a scavenger hunt, happened to be a few towns over and stopped at a Toys R Us there and now he'll have something electronic for the plane. I picked up the Draw and Write....For those of you with "littles", do you think this will be up his alley? I hope so!!
Lastly, my kids have this crazy thing with not wanting to wear coats. So, they will wear a jacket. (Keep in mind they have coats, but don't like the heaviness, bulkiness of them.) Spencer said his jacket was too small, so I stopped into Children's Place and got him this cool jacket for 8 bucks. I thought about it for a day or two and I thought......somebody needs a matching jacket...Who's missing from this pic? Can you guess?
So excited about coordinating two boys....(Spencer is humoring me here, but hey we'll roll with it.)
Oh....yeah....I found this while I was out too and couldn't resist.....
Now, all we need is Justus "D". We miss him so much and think about and pray for him every day. We are still waiting for the phone to ring with an embassy date. Come on embassy!!
Psalms 27:14
Wait for the LORD; Be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.
With Much Love,
awww. I love it!!! He is absolutely going to love his room, but mostly the people there to welcome him into it. And the jackets are awesome. Dear Spencer--you are a good sport. Enjoy it while it lasts, friend. haha! I cannot wait to meet Justus! :)
ReplyDeleteLove it!!! Love the train... hours and hours of fun.
ReplyDeleteLeapster- good choice! The best leapster prereader game I've found is "pet pals". You take care of a pets- food, exercise, etc... It was always the first one my girls figured out.
Excited for you...
