Please Pray

Tomorrow, November 8th....while we are still sleeping....Justus' birthmother will go to court to testify. Please pray that as she is beginning to make the trip today, she will have a safe journey and that she will feel healthy. Pray that God will reassure her heart that Justus is going to a family where he will be loved and well taken care of. Pray that God will wrap His arms around her and comfort her for the sadness and loss she may feel during this time. Lastly, please pray for all the documents that are necessary....that they would all be there. Pray for the government orphanage worker that she would be kind, loving, attentive, and helpful to Justus' mom.

There are two main set of documents that are needed to arrive. I don't honestly understand all of it, but this is what I do get. The Ministry of Women's Affairs will look over our dossier as well as Justus' information (which has now been joined as one file) to make sure all is in order. Once this is approved they will write a recommendation letter on behalf of the adoption. Simultaneously to this happening the Central Authority (CA) will also look at our file. They will also submit a document to the Federal Court of Addis Ababa.

Both of these government offices need to have their documentation ready and available for the scheduled preliminary court appointment. If there is a delay in submitting this documentation to court then it is an automatic denial at the preliminary court appointment and a second one will be scheduled (typically a new court date can be scheduled for about 3-4 weeks later).

Please pray that everything will be in order and we will pass court the first time. This is a key part in bringing our son one step closer to his forever family......

Lastly, it is Orphan Awareness Sunday. Please pray for the 147 million children who will go to sleep without a mom or dad tonight....Pray that God will call his people to care for these children. Thank you for your prayers. (Hit pause on the music box at the bottom so you can hear the video.)
