Believe it or not, finishing touches on Justus' room, & TICKETS!!

I bring you good news of great joy!! I have finished my painting projects in Justus' room. (until the next lovely idea pops into my head) Here is the soccer goal...the only ball he is probably really familiar with....

As you'll notice, this one had curvy lines and my hand is not steady, so I tried the best I could....I'm rolling with it. Speaking of rolling with it.....Has anyone seen any realistic sport balls or vinyl stick ons that would be almost true to size? I'd love to attach a soccer ball looking like it's going into the net, but don't want to even attempt painting it....way too many lines.....I thought I found something at Kirklands, but it had like a frame thing on it and I need it to just be the ball....

So, Justus' room is almost complete. I feel relieved. I don't know why I felt such a sense of urgency when we got our travel dates, but I was like, "oh my goodness...I've got to get this done." Now, I'm excited, b/c I can read up on transitioning and things like that although reading about grief will be sad, but it's part of it.

ok...So, then I checked the mailbox, and guess what was in there??? Yep, you got it! Our tickets!!!

We are now free to move about the country...ok really beyond the country, but I'm a "Southwest" fan. Unfortunately, there are no "dings" to Ethiopia, nor are there any $79 dollar flights, haha. I wish!!

Does this song sound familiar to any of you? There was this show called, "The Greatest American Hero" on in the 80's. I don't remember a thing about the show....Just standing in front of the TV belting out the theme song to the top of my lungs.....Can you visualize this? ha! It's how I feel right now. This song sums it up and soon, we'll be flying away on a wing and a prayer.....
