How about a V. I. P.?

You are looking at the Assistant Principal. Spencer was chosen to be the Assistant Prinicpal for the day at his school. He was so excited yesterday he could hardly eat breakfast and was bouncing off the walls. Each six weeks, the administrators choose one child to be the principal who makes "Principal's List" and one child to be the assistant principal that makes "honor roll". Spencer has been at this school for five years (He is in 5th grade). It was his first time to be chosen.....(He went to school with Natalie and I last year.) We really struggled with where he should go to school for 5th grade. It was convenient having he, Natalie and I all in one place. However, we knew in our hearts it was not the best fit for Spencer. Trevis and I met with his principal and she was understanding. He is having an awesome year. He enjoys school and our life is much more peaceful at home. I am so tickled and proud for him to get to do this. He came home yesterday afternoon telling us all about it. He basically shadowed his real principal all day and she gave he and the little girl work to do. The ironic thing was that the little girl that was chosen is one of our neighbors...What are the odds? Out of 1,000 kids, these two kids who live three houses apart would be selected. I was so glad for Spencer.:)To think he will be going to middle school next year....

On the adoption front......no news is sllllloooooowwwww news. The FBI basically said 13 weeks no matter what on the fingerprint paper. Washington DC said we should receive Trevis' birth certificate (from Germany) in less than 2 weeks. So, I think our fingerprints have been there 4 weeks now....Please pray that somebody would pluck our little envelope out of the pile and send that baby through.

We had a conference call with our agency today. We found out that 2 trips are required now for Ethiopia. We have been processing that.

Tomorrow is Friday! Have a great weekend.
With much love,
