HOORAY!

Psalm 95:1-2 (Amplified)
1 O COME, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the Rock of our salvation!2Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to Him with songs of praise!

Happy Sunday evening everyone! I have good news to report. We mailed our Orientation packet yesterday with completed notarized paperwork and a check for $7,390. Hooray!!That is a God event. God is definately adding HIS "super" on our "natural" to make this a reality. It has drawn our family closer together and we've spent a lot more time at home (on a tight budget)as a family. We are thankful for everyone praying for our family and our new son/daughter (both). We continue to ask for you to pray for the next round of expenses that we will be incurring relatively soon. It is almost as large as the first chunk...It's a good thing it's one step at a time. Otherwise, we might get weary and intimidated. This does occur on occasion.;) I actually printed out a copy of the fee schedule and highlighted everything that we've already paid and put blue dots by those things that are next. My heart feels good though being obedient (although I must admit, I miss mine and Trevis' Friday nights where we would go to Kohl's, Ross, and Target.) We are thankful that God is bringing people into our lives to encourage us and solidify in our minds that we are smack dab in the center of His will for our family.....

Here are a few God moments this past week......

This week, the other first grade teacher asked me if she had told me what play we were going with the middle school to see. Guess what? It's "Annie". What are the odds?

Wednesday, I had to test incoming first graders for next year and I asked the typical...Do you have any brothers, sisters, etc? She said, we are going to adopt. I said, "Really?" Wow! Me too! They're adopting from Mexico. The next day, I saw the same little girl at Chick-Fil-A at my friend Kristi's adoption spirit night.

Thursday, a mom of a little boy in my class walked up to me with an article she ripped out of her husband's magazine that was titled, "What if we had Missed This?". It is about one family's Ethiopian adoption.....

I am convinced that God loves the orphans. I am excited about this journey. It is teaching me sooooooooo much about how God is in control. He is my "rock". I like this image of God. He is strong and steadfast.

I am looking forward to a call from our adoption agency this week after they receive our packet. They will give us our adoption planner and information regarding our dossier. Our home study will probably be sent to us for review this week too. It's going to be a busy week--our first five day school week in awhile (unless it snows Tuesday night or Wednesday morning and we get out--that would be ok with me.:))

This past weekend, we had Natalie's slumber party. Here is a picture or two. It was so much fun. I love my baby girl. She is beautiful inside and out. Spencer was such a good sport too. I think at one point all six girls were attacking him with balloon swords my mom had made. They loved it!!

Have a super duper Valentiney kind of week!
With much love,
