I have a confession....

I LOVE back to school shopping. I love everything about it...
the smell of new crayons (If you've read Junie B. books at all, you'll know what I'm saying)
pointy sharp pencils
new notebooks
shopping for deals
hurrying to the office stores to get cheapo 1 cent items
picking out backpacks
the hope of an awesome upcoming school year

Yes, I know I'm a nerd, but I love it. Maybe it's the teacher in me. I use to love setting my first grade classroom up and personalizing each child's desk, everything with his/her name on it, new labels, bulletin boards, the works....

I also know that school starts (first full day) four weeks from this past Monday and that I should enjoy the last few weeks of summer. Really, there's no sleeping in with my early bird who awakes when the sun is beginning to rise, but I will miss hanging out in my pjs with no rush to get anywhere.

Last week, I started learning how to coupon too...so when I went to http://www.southernsavers.com/ and saw that they had Target coupons for things like Sharpies (ultra fine point) was on Natalie's list..

It just so happens that Target is running a 2 pack for $1 and the coupon (you can print off online here) is for $1 off, so that is FREE my friends.....I didn't even know all these Target coupons existed and I'm in there at least once a week....Toys R Us is also running "Buy a backpack, get a lunchbox free" for all my friends who have little kids...This was GREAT for Justus and fabulous for us as well....Target also has $2 off their denim and they have boys denim Cherokee jeans on clearance (maybe from last year?) for 6.48, so with the coupon...that's $4.48 for a nice pair of carpenter jeans....oh yeah...Saved myself $70 bux this week at Kroger using Kroger plus card and coupons....I was really getting stoked with all these fun things, let me tell ya....

We're back to the ole Dave Ramsey envelope system too, so I bust out my envelope and go at it.....I did realize that I may spend more than the budget initially on groceries until I can fully get on the "buy six week cycle" that Super Savers recommends.

So, now you know something more about me....Only 3 weeks 5 days till school starts...but who's counting? {smile}

Much Love,
